A Note from Father Andy
Dear St. Pius Family,
As I announced at all of the Masses this past weekend (August 21-22), Bishop Ricken has appointed me Administrator of St. Paul Parish in Combined Locks, effective September 15th, 2010. As administrator I will have all of the rights and responsibilities of pastor, just without stability, meaning I do not have a term limit. I am grateful for Biship Ricken’s confidence in me to lead a parish. Even though I look forward to serving the people of St. Paul’s in Combined Locks, I know it will be hard for me to leave all of you, the people of St. Pius X Parish. Though I have only been with you a short time (14 months) I have come to know you, and St. Pius will always have a special place in my heart. Please keep me and the people of St. Paul Parish in your prayers during this time of transition. Be assured of my prayers for all of you as well, as we hope and wait for another Associate Pastor to succeed me here at St. Pius X Parish. May God bless you all.

SINGING IS PRAYING TWICE!
Calling all singers! The choirs of St. Pius will be starting up again in September. We invite all singers, young and old, men and women, to consider being a music minister by serving in one of our many choirs.
KENANIAH CONTEMPORARY CHOIR is an adult choir which sings at the 10:30 a.m. Mass every other Sunday, plus Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Tenebrae, and First Communion.
Rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6;15-7:30 p.m.
TRADITIONAL ADULT CHOIR is the robed adult choir which sings at the 8:30 a.m. Mass every other Sunday, plus Christmas and Easter.
Rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:45 p.m.
PRAISE ENSEMBLE is a contemporary choir which sings at one 4:00 p.m. Saturday Mass per month.
Rehearses immediately before Mass.
SINGING ANGELS CHILDREN’S CHOIR. This children’s choir is open to children in grades 3-5. The choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. Mass approximately every 6 weeks, plus Christmas, First Communion, and Mother’s Day.
Rehearses Tuesday afternoons from 3:15-4:15 p.m.
Now is the time to check your calendars and make some time to Praise the Lord! Singing together, meeting new folks, working together towards a common goal, feeling proud of what you have accomplished -- these are all results of being a member of a choir! You do not have to be able to read music - just possess a love of singing!

Light Weigh
The Light Weigh is returning to St. Pius and beginning at St. Bernard’s this fall. Please come to an orientation meeting at St. Bernard’s on either Tuesday, September 7th, or Wednesday, September 8th, or you may attend a meeting at St. Pius on Wednesday, September 8th, or Thursday, September 9th. All meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. You only need to attend one orientation meeting.
The Light Weigh is a twelve week Bible Study DVD series designed for groups. You will learn to have peace with food, and have a deeper understanding of your faith. If you are tired of following a diet like a cult, this program is for you.
Concurrent Light Weigh sessions will be held at St, Pius on Monday evenings, and at St. Bernard’s on Tuesday evenings.

Fundraiser for our Parish
Kwik Trip gas stations and convenience stores are allowing our parish to keep 10% from the sale of their gift cards. This means that for every $100 of cards sold for gas or anything inside the stores, Kwik Trip will allow us to keep $10 for our parish use. Sales of these cards will be after all weekend Masses and in the parish office

Are you or your loved ones in need of physical, emotional, or spiritual healing? Prayer can help. Every Sunday, Healing Prayer Ministry Teams are available after the 8:30 a.m. Mass in the Brides Room, to pray with people. IF you are unable to make it on Sunday, you may also make an appointment for another time.
